Chris Jones didn’t just grow into one of the most dominant defensive tackles in the NFL—he stormed onto the scene with confidence, charisma, and the kind of power that offenses have struggled to contain for nearly a decade.
He first rose to prominence at Houston High School in Mississippi, where he was a five-star recruit and one of the top-rated defensive players in the country. He chose to stay close to home at Mississippi State, where his blend of size, speed, and strength quickly earned him a starting role. Over three seasons, Jones racked up nearly 100 tackles and double-digit sacks, solidifying his draft stock as a future NFL game-wrecker.
The Chiefs selected him in the second round of the 2016 NFL Draft—and he’s been a cornerstone of the defense ever since. His breakout came in 2018, when he tallied 15.5 sacks and set an NFL record by recording at least one sack in 11 straight games. From funding after-school programs to hosting football camps and motivational talks, Chris uses his platform to show young people what's possible. His efforts are deeply personal—he doesn’t just fundraise, he shows up.
In one of his most impactful gestures, Chris donated $200,000 to his alma mater, Houston High School, to revamp its athletic facilities and give local kids the same shot he had growing up.
