Nick Boltonās football journey began at Lone Star High School in Texas, where he racked up over 100 tackles and showcased early leadership on both defense and special teams. At Missouri, he earned back-to-back First-Team All-SEC honors, notching 103 tackles in 2019 and adding another 95 in 2020ādemonstrating consistent dominance on the field.
Drafted in 2021 by Kansas City, Bolton made an immediate splash: as a rookie, he led the team with 112 tackles, earned PFWA All-Rookie honors, and scored a momentum-shifting 86-yard fumble recovery touchdownāone of the longest in franchise history.
His breakout 2022 season saw him tally a league-high 180 tackles, including a Super Bowl LVII fumble-return touchdown, reinforcing his reputation as a defensive anchor.
In March 2025, Bolton signed a three-year, $45 million extensionāsolidifying his role as the Chiefsā core linebacker for years to come. His football IQ, tackling prowess, and faith-driven leadership make him both a defensive force and a locker room cornerstone.
