Xavier Worthy’s football journey began at Central East High School in Fresno, California. After flipping his college commitment to the University of Texas, he exploded onto the national stage. As a freshman, he racked up 981 yards and 12 touchdowns, including a school-record 261 yards in a single game against Oklahoma. His rare blend of acceleration, route running, and body control made him one of the most dangerous receivers in the country.
Then came the NFL Combine. Worthy made history by running a 4.21-second 40-yard dash—the fastest ever recorded at the combine. The Chiefs, never shy about chasing speed, traded up to select him 28th overall in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft.
