Las Vegas dropped its third straight, this time in brutal fashion. After Ashton Jeanty’s breakout game (138 yards, 3 total TDs) had the Raiders positioned for a win, Chicago stormed back late. Rookie QB Caleb Williams engineered a 69-yard drive, capped by D’Andre Swift’s 2-yard touchdown run with 1:34 left.
Even then, Las Vegas had a chance — until Daniel Carlson’s 54-yard attempt was blocked in the final minute. Geno Smith had another rough outing (117 yards, 3 INTs), and though Maxx Crosby delivered his usual havoc with a forced fumble and an interception, the Raiders’ turnovers proved decisive.
At 1–3, Pete Carroll’s squad looks talented in spots but undisciplined overall. For Chiefs fans, this game was a reminder: if you pressure Smith, mistakes follow.

After two weeks of crushing losses, Denver finally delivered a complete performance. Bo Nix threw for 326 yards, added 3 total touchdowns, and spread the ball efficiently. J.K. Dobbins provided balance with 101 rushing yards — the Broncos’ first 100-yard rusher in nearly three years.
Defensively, Patrick Surtain and company smothered a Joe Burrow-less Bengals offense, holding them to just 159 yards and forcing punts on nearly every possession after the opening drive.
Sean Payton called it a “step in the right direction,” but Broncos penalties (7 for 72 yards) remain an issue. For Kansas City, this was a reminder that Denver can be dangerous when balanced — but also that they’ve yet to prove it consistently against elite competition.
🔵 Los Angeles Chargers (3–1)
Final: Giants 21, Chargers 18
The Chargers’ perfect start ended in New York at the hands of rookie QB Jaxson Dart. Herbert struggled with turnovers (2 INTs) and couldn’t finish drives late, while rookie RB Omarion Hampton shined again with 128 rushing yards, including a 54-yard touchdown.
Keenan Allen chipped in 58 yards and a score, but Malik Nabers’ injury stole headlines. For LA, the bigger concern might be their inability to close against an 0–3 Giants team breaking in a new quarterback.
At 3–1, Jim Harbaugh’s Chargers are off to their best start in years — and 3–0 in the division — but once again, questions remain about whether they can sustain it beyond September. Chiefs Kingdom has seen this movie before.
🔴 Kansas City Chiefs (2–2)
Final: Chiefs 37, Ravens 20
Back at Arrowhead, Kansas City sent a message to the rest of the NFL: don’t count them out. Patrick Mahomes and the offense found their rhythm, while the defense clamped down after a shaky opening drive. The result: a dominant 37–20 win over Baltimore to even the record at 2–2.
